YOUNG Performing Arts Festival ASSITEJ has been held annually in Reykjavík since 2013. The festival offers local and foreign performances for children and young people as well as a number of smaller events. The festival is held in the spring in connection with the Children's Culture Festival in Reykjavík.

 

​In 2016 it was decided that the festival would be a biennial. The next festival will be held in April 2024. ​
​The festival is sponsored by the City of Reykjavík.
